Your Digital Backpack

The first and most powerful tool in your Digital Backpack is a Personalized Family Donation Page. The page includes an explainer video and has a donation link that automatically fills in the recommendation for your student(s)! Click the image to the left for instructions to set up your page in three easy steps.

This video (included on the Personal Family Donation Page) gives a simple explanation of the Private School Tax Credit Program. It is also a resource you can share with family and friends.

To share, click the paper airplane icon on the right of the video window!

The third resource in your Digital Backpack is the Calendar. It contains important tips and dates throughout the school year to help you establish a timeline for each step in the process. This calendar is meant to be a guide of when to send information to potential donors.

The “Calculator” is a guide to help you determine your family’s specific financial need. To begin, you will need the annual tuition amounts for each student in your family.

The fifth resource helps you define your Network. These are the people you are connected with who may be interested in donating and recommending your student. We have provided a list of potential donors to help you get started.

This sixth resource in your Digital Backpack is Sample Messaging to use as you interact with donors. You can edit and customize these messages to send to your potential donors. The first sample is for texting donors and sharing your Personal Family Donation Page. Then the first email will help introduce your audience to the Private School Tax Credit Program, the second email is an appeal for end-of-year giving, and the final email is a simple ‘thank you’.

This seventh resource is social media graphics to edit and share on different platforms.  You will edit the graphics to add your child’s name and photo. Follow the prompts when you click the image and watch a short video to help you when editing with Canva. Then download the edited graphic and post on social media!

The last resource will allow you to view what scholarships your student has recieved and print your APESF scholarship award history. You are also able to view your current school year application status and what types of scholarships your child qualifies for.

You can request up-to-date records at any time from APESF! Click below to request your Family Records.

NOTICE: A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict, or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of a donor’s recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent.
