The second resource in the backpack is the Calendar. It contains important dates and tips that will help you establish a timeline for each step in the process. This calendar is meant to be a guide to give you an idea of when to send information to potential donors throughout the year.

The “Calculator” is a guide to help you determine your family’s specific financial need. To begin you will need the annual tuition amounts for each student in your family.

The fourth resource helps you define your Network. These are the people you are connected with who may be interested in donating and recommending your student. We have provided a list of potential donors to help you get started.

This fifth resource in the Digital Backpack is Sample Emails. You can edit and customize these messages to send to your potential donors. The first email will help introduce your audience to the program, the second email is an appeal for end of year giving, and the final email is a simple thank you. Click the links below to download each letter.

The sixth resource is customizable Social Media Graphics to share with your wider network.
The templates below are meant to be edited with your child’s name and photo and used to post to any and all social media platforms.
This will help you spread the word about the program and about your need.
Start by watching the short video below to help you through the editing process. Be sure to share the graphic and tag APESF!
