Richard is APESF’s Executive Director. As a recipient of STO scholarships growing up, and now with his own kids, Richard is passionate about helping families make private education affordable. On his perfect day, Richard is watching the Phoenix Suns win a championship.

Jenny Miller

Director of Operations

Compassionate and professional, she is constantly seeking opportunities to care for others. She is devoted to providing support and encouragement for parents, and in turn, she witnesses children thriving and “reaching for the stars”. On her perfect day, Jenny is with her husband, three daughters and sons-in-law, and six grandchildren in stunning Orange Beach, Alabama.

Robin Anderson

Director of

Family & School Relations

Kind-hearted and considerate, she is a natural peacemaker and prides herself on being able to see both sides of an issue. Robin loves working directly with families and schools, and she is passionate about providing financial support to the most vulnerable. On her perfect day, Robin would spend all day on Siesta Key Beach in Florida with her husband, Matt, and three boys.

Shauna Stansell

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Creative and caring, her goal is to leave things better than she found them in all areas. Her family has received STO scholarships for private Christian education and she is excited to help Arizona families find the school environment that works for them. On her perfect day, Shauna would be crafting or playing games with her husband and five kids.

Kelly Reader

Donor & Development Coordinator

Kelly feels so blessed to be a part of the APESF team. Her detail-oriented nature helps the office stay organized and efficient. She’s an encourager at heart and is devoted to giving families opportunities they didn’t think possible. Kelly is married to her best friend, loves reading with her three kids and enjoys long runs. On her perfect day she would be on an African safari with her family.

In 1998, Mark Moerkerke launched APESF with a clear vision to create a school tuition organization that served Arizona families seeking the “Best-Fit” education for their children. Over the past 25 years, thousands of students across the state of Arizona have benefited from the financial support of this remarkable scholarship program. Mark’s heart was always to serve families that could not otherwise afford the schools that meet their children’s educational needs. Mark was a warm, kind, and generous leader and a committed and passionate advocate for school choice.

It is our pleasure and passion to continue Mark's legacy of generosity and service!
