| April 1 | APESF begins accepting applications for the summer, fall and spring distributions. Applications submitted after this date will be valid until March 31 of the following year. |

| June 30 | Scholarship application and donation deadline for the July distribution. |
| July | Selection Committee meets to make awards. APESF sends scholarship awards to schools on behalf of student recipients. Award letters sent to students. |
| October 31 | Scholarship application and donation deadline for the November distribution. |
| November | Selection Committee meets to make awards. APESF sends scholarship awards to schools on behalf of student recipients. Award letters sent to students. |
| December 31 | Donation deadline for current tax year. Donations sent by mail must be postmarked by December 31 and online donations must be submitted by midnight on December 31. |
| January | APESF notifies students recommended by donors for a potential grant award to fill out a scholarship application. |
| February 28 | Scholarship application and donation deadline for March distribution. |
| March | Selection Committee meets to make awards. APESF sends scholarship awards to schools on behalf of student recipients. Award letters sent to students. |
All scholarship applications go out-of-date after March 31. You must fill out a new application every year beginning April 1 to be eligible a scholarship distribution.
Is your child starting Kindergarten or switching to a private school in the fall of 2010? This is the perfect time to begin the application process! Once your child is enrolled in a qualified private school in K-12 grade, you are welcome to apply for a scholarship, even if it’s during the previous school year. Donors may contribute and make a recommendation for your family up to one year prior to your child beginning private school. Any funds awarded will be sent to the school in the spring/summer and held until you begin paying tuition in the fall.
